Guide to: Autumn

Hello everyone. as you all know Autumn is approaching, meaning; candles, cuddly pj's and big hot chocolates. Which of course is a glorious season, one that personally I love, ALOT. I've decided to come up with a little series on my blog which will take place over the next few weeks, where I will be giving advice and tips along with my favourite things to do or wear in the Autumn. For example this post is Autumn make-up although I will post a whole face of the day as well soon. In this series I will go through many different topics like; skincare, fashion , outings and a lot more. so I hope that you enjoy this even if you are gripping on to the very last inklings of summer.

Top to bottom : Calvin Klein 'Orange Too'
Avroy Shilain 'Mulled Wine' - Click to see a post where I used this
Revlon: Spice it up
Rimmel scandal eyes waterproof eyeliner in bronze along with the benefit 'Fake up' concealer
So in the colder months I have to unfortunately let go of all my beautiful bright nail polish and coral lips and cheeks and kind of tone down the summer glow 'Bronzed Goddess' look although I still love the Rimmel eyeliner in bronze, just a little on the waterline or smudged into the lash line- I think looks gorgeous. Its also socially more acceptable to have darker lips which to be honest I do not like the full opaque dark lip look as I'm still in school I shear my lip colours out and slap on some lip balm and I'm good to go. Even though I think orange lips all year round is great, its perfect for Halloween. The benefit fake up concealer is really great during the colder months as its really moisturising as you can see the balmy moisturiser around the outskirts of the concealer- I only have a mini one but I will defiantly be purchasing a full sized one soon. I have very combination skin which tends too change a lot depending on the weather and in winter it gets dry so this concealers great for under the eyes around the nose and on the chin. I love the natural look, and trying to look as natural as possible so in the winter time I go for pinky blushers as it looks like you have just been outside and have come in from the cold, I would advise not going to overboard though as you may look like you've had a very sweaty run. I also have the bene-tint which is a super natural multi-purpose tint which looks so pretty as its a rose tone, a tone that most people blush. Last but not least, one of the staples of winter beauty is lip balm I love the Maybelline one in 'Cherry me' as its super sheer and perfect for school.
Thank you for reading, here I will leave you with a few pictures of the products mentioned.
Headline colours in 'Gunmetal' -Only on one finger as I was taking pictures all on one day and... I'm lazy :)

Worth the splurge?

Bad photography skills here, opps.

This pallet is absolutely gorgeous and a staple of mine recently. I purchased this a very long time ago (sorry) and forgot how beautiful it is. I think its the perfect 'all year round everyday pallet' - That suits so many different eye colours and skin tones. Personally I haven't used all the colours, like the blue or green because honestly I am scared of bright vibrant colours. I think this was limited edition to Estee Lauder although you can buy these some of these shades individually at the counter! So if you're not into bright colours like me you don't have to get them. Do you think this pallet is worth the price tag? Hmm I don't know, the pigmentation is beautiful although brands much cheaper do similar shades just -£30.  If you are in the market for something like this and you have the budget I would definitely recommend Estee Lauder Eye shadows.
Hope everyone is having a great summer- I will be back with more posts! :)

Benifit Bombshell

Hello everyone, its been a while and I am very sorry but I have finished the majority of my exams so I will be posting more and of course as I've almost finished I have more time for shopping! So I went to the benefit counter recently and decided to pick up a few bits and pieces to try out, so I hope you enjoy. :)

Over the spring season I tried  out Benefits miniature skincare set , I really did love some of the products and wanted to give them a go but the other day I had a wonderful facial by benefit from one of the girls in Milton Keynes John Lewis upstairs in the Beauty Retreat. The lady started by talking me through some of their products and some from their new range,  I admit that I was very tempted by a lot of the products but I quite like my skincare routine at the moment and  new exfoliator so I decided to get the Refined Finish facial polish which I do really like and it is not too harsh on my sensitive skin.

I have tried samples of the Porefessional in the past and really enjoyed it so I picked up one because I feel like it really helps your make up glide on and hide your pores! I would highly recommend this!
The big easy was something I was very curious about as everyone is talking about it and as it is coming up to summer this would be perfect and light, it leaves a gorgeous light satin finish and It hides most of my redness.

As the BB cream is very light I need something to cover up my blemishes, this is nice as it is industrial strength but its not too drying and covers imperfections perfectly!

Finally an old classic! The Coralista ,now I have used this in the past but I never owned my own one and I think it looks really beautiful with my skin tone and a great colour for summer!

I hope you enjoyed my little haul and if you have any summer makeup/ skincare recommendation's please let me know!
See you all soon!
:)
